It Happened One Heist was the kind of adventure I couldn’t get enough of. Museum curator Amara Grant has big plans to return artifacts to Haiti, so when she discovers the priceless bracelets on display are fake and gets fired for it, her entire life changes overnight. What follows is a globe-trotting treasure hunt packed with riddles, secret societies, and black-market antiquities, with stops in Los Angeles, London, Scotland, and Paris. The chemistry between Amara and her bodyguard, Dante, is immediate, and their close-proximity adventure only intensifies their connection. Aside from the romance, I adored the theme of reclaiming what belongs back home. I really enjoyed this book both funny and had a good story line a light listen

Easy listening

Riley is a good narrator and her voice is easy to listen to. The storyline is fun with interesting themes on colonisation and the ownership of ethnic treasures. It was an enjoyable listen while doing the cooking and cleaning on a Sunday. I would probably give this 3.5 stars but it was closer to 4 than 3.

This didn’t require a lot of brain power to follow which I liked, a good bedtime story. Characters were likable it was a nice mix of adventure and romance. Amber Riley has a great voice for audiobooks. I’d love to see another book.

I love it, it has action, history, anti colony speeches, lots of voiced characters, riddles. I would just add music. It is a great book to listen for fun and you might also learn some history of Haiti
