I was hooked from first page to last as the twists got twistier and all of the characters squirmed while waiting for their darkest secrets to be revealed. May I suggest a new Irish blessing? May you never live in a neighbourhood created by Andrea Mara. Andrea is blessed with a gift for knowing our darkest fears and playing on them like a virtuoso violinist, and I am here for it.
The convincing storyline maintains real dread in a world of everyday domestic detail. Very enjoyable.

I absolutely LOVED this book. I listen to a lot of books and this is my favourite out of any of them over the last few years. It was such a unique and entertaining storyline - so relevant to the current times and quote thought provoking. I saw a bad review below that made no sense. The entire story was constant action and entertainment and it was certainly not left to the end. And one of the things I liked best was actually that I could tell the difference between all the narrated voices as I usually struggle with that in audio books. If you can’t keep up then you aren’t listening properly. Each character was really built up and brought to life so I had no trouble following the storyline. I love all of this author’s books but this is the best one in my opinion. I’m raging there isn’t another book of hers to listen to now!

Another good story from Andrea Mara that keeps you hooked throughout. She manages to show the dark side of humanity without making us suffer through descriptions of misogynistic violence against women or having to
endure the insufferable descriptions of the feelings of male psychopaths. It’s not a sugary book at all, it’s about real people and very well written. Excellent.
