If she can free them, they can round up rebels from across Hamlin and rid themselves of the filthy usurper.

Civil war churns on the horizon, but Janna’s loyalties waver. The sea serpents can destroy the enemy’s ships...and Janna must decide who that enemy is.

Janna is a lively teenager living in the Earl of Ambrose's castle. An invasion costs her most of her family and carries off the Earl's sons, but Janna has a secret she can talk to the sea serpent in the loch. A journey to the capital to mount a rescue mission opens her eyes to another side of her world and calls her loyalty into question. This is an excellent story with good characters although i found Janna's attitude a bit frustrating. The narration is good,it took me a while to get into Sarah Lucero's performance but it worked very well by the end. I received a complimentary copy from the narrator and am leaving a honest voluntary review
