Summary

Who’d want a guy like me?
Sure, I can make my MC brothers laugh, but I’m not good for much else.
Muscle? Sure.
Smarts? Not so much.
At least Brennan knows I’m one hot mother.... Well.... You know.
No one ever wants me for more than a roll in the sheets.
No one except Brennan.
Will he still want me when he realizes how messed up I am?

Joker is more than just fun and games.
He’s full of wisecracks, seems to live to rile everyone up, but the club enforcer has hidden depths.
Depths that only I see.
When the MC has a job for me, it’s the perfect opportunity to get close to Joker.
I want to keep his smart mouth busy.
With my lips.... And other things.
But the closer we get, the more of his pain I see.
I want to find a way to help him heal.
Will he let me in when he’s spent his whole life hiding?

Joker always has a wisecrack ready, but Brennan can see the secrets and pain he’s hiding. These two collide in Joker, Book 8 of the Hell’s Ankhor stand-alone m/m romance motorcycle club series.

I loved seeing Joker be vulnerable and tear down his walls to let someone in. I can't wait to see how he evolves with the "dirty" jokes in future books because he can't let that completely go.

This book we meet Joker and Brennan, Joker has always come across as a Joker and a bit arrogant. But is he really? He's always got a verbal comeback, riling up his fellow MC brothers and Brennan who is rebuilding the club.

This is a truly heartfelt book, it had me in tears at some points, there's love, hurt, trauma, deep issues and pain but I will say there a HEA. These books have been absolutely amazing and I've been loving them. The narrator is good although I do speed him up a bit.
Well worth listening to.

Joker is the wisecracking, sarcastic club enforcer that keeps everyone at arms length and that everyone takes for granted, but the pain he’s hiding beneath the surface is no joke. Brennan sees it and wants to uncover what Joker is masking and help him work through it and heal. The result is a really steamy, romantic (in an MC gritty kind of way), emotionally charged story. As usual, it’s well-written and the characters have dimension and depth. In terms of narration, David Allen Vargo gives a solid performance. His voice fits with the tenor of the book and the series because it has a richness and depth to it that is the appropriate counterpoint to the characters and the story. He created two distinct voices and consistently delivered them. All in all, another great story in this series.

Another enjoyable audio in this series

Joker had so many layers and every layer showed something different about him. He was a sweet guy who never got a look in within his family and easily got overlooked by his brothers in the club. He needed someone to take the time to see him for who he was and Brennan was the perfect man for the job.

The kids at the hospital were adorable and I loved how Joker interacted with them.

The narrator was amazing and I thoroughly enjoyed his performance.

Joker surprised me at every turn
