About this listen

Juked: verb.
/jook-t/
A slang soccer term meaning: faked out, deceived, confused your opponent

See examples Daniel Zavaro and Quincy Watson:

As the rising star in Houston, Daniel has found fame as captain of his pro soccer team and the city's most eligible bachelor. Daniel has everything - except someone special - and that suits him just fine. He doesn't want, or need, complications.

Quincy has baggage, and lots of it. After a tragic accident spins her world on its axis, she finds herself as a single mother, raising a newborn nephew she never knew she had. Between parenthood, her full-time job, and dealing with the suffocating grief of losing her sister, every day is a struggle. When they begin to cross paths unexpectedly and often, an unlikely friendship starts to evolve. Feelings change. Lines get crossed. What happens next surprises them both....

Before they know it - they've been juked.

This was a good listen.
I'm a sucker for a baby daddy and I loved how Daniel was so good with Quincy's baby. Swoon.

When Quincy's sister dies, she becomes an overnight mum.
She meets Daniel that same night of her sister's death, it's also the night she gains custody of her nephew Chance. Daniel spots ger while having a meltdown in the baby aisle in a store. Daniel is from a large Italian family and has had lots of experience with his nieces and Nephews and so he helps her out.

They become friends. Good friends until they sort of became more.
Quincy doesn't know Daniel is a high-profile soccer player at first, she also doesn't know before she commits herself to Daniel that he's also got a huge hang-up about commitment.

Interesting story, hot in all the right places. Lacks a little depth in places but I really enjoyed it. There are also some good family moments with banter.
Told in dual pov. An enjoyable sports romance audiobook.

A GOOD SPORTS ROMANCE, baby daddy
