Summary
This novella tells of a tragic episode during the earth-bound life of Kimi Brooks.
The story begins in 1984. Kimi is lost, deep in the Wirikuta Desert in Mexico. During her adventure, she encounters a shaman, a delirious New York artist, ransom-seeking desperadoes, an unlikely villain, a dolphin, and an Aboriginal spirit named Boonga.
This novella is one of several contained in the novel, Alexios, Before Dying. On its own, Kimi's story could be called a crime thriller, or perhaps, a woman grappling with her own, impending death.
