These stories are about how, many years ago, Arthur the once and future King of England, set out to save his country from the troubles that plagued it, aided by the brave knights of the Round Table, and the most famous sword in the world, Excalibur. How Merlin the Wizard fought against the wicked Morgana le Fay's enchantments, and how Arthur loved and lost the beautiful Guinevere, his Queen.

Although greatly condensed, this version captures the essence of the Arthurian Legends. The wonderful narration by Sean Bean, and the atmospheric music kept me griped all the way through. I shall enjoy listening to this again and again. Well worth a credit!

It’s a good initial history lesson on King Arthur if you want to know the main story

Got this after remembering how much I loved this story when growing up as a child. Brilliant not having to swap cassettes!! Sean Bean is his typical brooding self and the perfect voice for this darkly magical anthology of tales of King Arthur. It's a fairly short collection, which is good as not overly detailed but certainly leaves me wanting to delve a little deeper into certain aspects of the characters and stories.

Loved it as a child, love it now

I loved this version of the King Arthur story. The music really added to it, and the reader was perfect.
