The next book in the KINGS OF SIN series by No. 1 Sunday Times bestselling author Ana Huang

She's his greatest rival . . . and his greatest weakness.

Handsome, talented, and beloved by (almost) everyone, Sebastian Laurent is used to being on top. The heir to a culinary empire, his sharp instincts and effortless charm have made him a legend.

What people don't see are the demons lurking beneath his golden-boy façade. There's only one person who's come close to knowing the real him - Maya Singh, his childhood rival and secret obsession.

She's also the only one who's ever successfully challenged him. He can't stand her, but if that's true . . . why can't he stop thinking about her?

***

Smart, witty, and competitive to a fault, top marketing executive Maya Singh is used to winning - unless her opponent is Sebastian. It's something that's infuriated and motivated her her entire life.

So when a series of unfortunate events forces her to work with her sworn enemy, she's determined to one-up him and show the world who's the best once and for all.

What she didn't count on? Not hating their time together. To her horror, she might even . . . like it.

There may be a thin line between love and hate, but that's one line she'll never cross. Not with him. Not ever.

I think I had little bit too much expectation for this book! However I did like it but it wasn’t as good as the previous books 💕

I did like it

Not as good as previous ones but they did have a lot to live up to! It’s a bit of a non story and almost dnf as found it boring. Only saving grace was the narrators - they are both excellent.

Disappointing

Found the female narrator and the fmc whiny to the point I zoned out for huge parts. Overall a little boring.

There’s something incredibly satisfying about a romance where the tension starts long before the feelings are admitted, and this book delivers that in the best way. From the very beginning, the chemistry feels sharp, layered with rivalry, banter, and the kind of push-and-pull that keeps you completely invested.

What stood out most for me was how emotionally driven this story felt beneath the heat and tension. The rivals-to-lovers dynamic creates so much friction, and I have to say I love it more then Enemies to lovers, because underneath the feelings there is a connection that slowly reveals itself through vulnerability, patience, and the moments neither character expects to matter as much as they do.

The forced proximity works perfectly here, giving the relationship space to build naturally. There’s nowhere to hide from the tension, and that makes every interaction feel charged. Add in the workplace dynamic, billionaire romance elements, and the “he falls first” energy, and it creates a relationship that feels both addictive and deeply satisfying.

Duet narration by Soneela Nankani & Connor Crais brought so much personality to the experience. Their performances captured both the tension and emotional depth beautifully, making the connection between the characters feel even stronger.

This is a Tension-filled, emotionally rewarding, book, that is packed with the kind of chemistry that makes it impossible to stop listening.

Spice Level - 🌶️🌶️

💬 “Pop culture depicts the devil as a hideous thing. Clawed and found with red skin, and horns that broadcasted his evilness to the world. Pop culture was wrong! In reality, the devil was tall and sculpted, with perfect teeth and a year round tan, that made him look like he’d just returned from a beach vacation in the south of France.”

“I didn’t have to turn to know who’s arrived. It was the Devil himself!“

This was one of my anticipated reads (or listens) of the year and Ana Huang did not disappoint. The tension between the 2 main character and the banter was just top notch. I also really liked how the FMC was Indian and how a lot of her culture was mentioned. Ana Huang always writes such superb hetrogenous characters that I always love. I absolutely adored the fact that the narrator (Soneela Nankani) for Maya is actually Indian. Connor Crais also did an excellent French accent for Sebastian. Overall, an awesome listen.
