About this listen

“Breathtaking, intense, and scorching hot, King of Shadows is the modern myth I’ve been waiting for.”—Skye Warren, New York Times bestselling author

A mysterious billionaire…

Hades owns a diamond mine, but he wants something money can’t buy—Persephone. The innocent young woman challenges his claim on her.

He’ll stop at nothing to have her.

The contract is binding.

The daughter of his enemy…

Persephone wants freedom more than anything. Instead, she falls into the hands of a ruthless businessman. He demands complete possession of her. Body. Mind. Soul.

He wants her submission. She demands his secrets.

Their sensual battle may break them both.

A really good story once you get past the strong character of Hades, he is very dominant but beneath it all he does have heart and Percefony is looking for someone to give her the love she has craved all her life along with desperate need for freedom, may be 1 out of 2 is not bad .

Excellent

I don't normally leave reviews on books I don't enjoy, as it is usuay just a personal preference..

The original story of Hades and Persephone is complicated, and a retelling must be difficult, but it has been done really well several other times..

I found this retelling problematic - NO consent, which makes Hades a sadistic sexual predator, and Persephone a kidnap victim who is being assaulted.

NO concent - this story is problematic, not spicy
