books 1 & 2 of these short stories, are not only to the L A lovers series, but to the Eve Sumpter books , as both mix there.
not only is it like catching up on old friends, but I love the writing of lifes ordeals, humour, everyday events, and friendships (those you call family).
jourdyn Kelly is a tremendous author, and likewise tessa stavers with her narration.

Oh Dear ! The author of really good couple of series has given us a couple of really poor 'short stories' ! Vol one and Vol two let down the readers who have followed Eve, Rebecca, Cass, Lainey et al during their ups, and downs deserve better ! The writing is poor as are most of the stories, it's as if the author wants to cash in on previous successes (at the cost of a loyal following)!
TS normally a solid narrator does a really average job, limited 'voices' mean characters are often indistinguishable, and of course those South African accents are awful. Cass, Hunter and Mo are once again made to look like naughty, hormonal teens.
I love the idea that author's give us updates on our favourite characters but this time JK you have missed the mark !
