About this listen

Nia finds herself entangled in a world of lies and betrayal, where the truth is as elusive as the Dream Stalker himself. Now trapped in a perilous court, she must navigate her own web of deceit while honing her magic. Every ally may be an enemy, and every word could be her last.

In this treacherous world, survival depends on mastering her powers as Lady of the Lake. But as Nia's strength grows, so does the danger, and she must if she can trust those closest to her—or she risks losing the war, her life, and her heart.

The conclusion of the trilogy. The relation between Nia and the MMC is the main storyline in this third book sprinkled with some really fun action and fae politics.
I really enjoyed this trilogy. The banter was top notch. The FMC was real badass. The MMC was scorching hot and the rewritten Arthurian legend was a nice backdrop to the whole thing. I skipped some of the war- and action-scenes, but that’s mainly personal preference. I’m here for a good time, and yeah. It delivered.

A fast paced good time with lies and yearning

so this is not going to shatter the earth, but its ok! its a nice, easy read/listen, with a decent enough plot. what i realised by this book, is that world building kind of fell away. the description of places etc never really happened. but it has the plot and enough character development through the trilogy that you dont really notice, and even when you do, you dont mind coz your just plodding along nicely following the story and rooting for the main characters.
that said, stuff happens in this book that had it delved a bit deeper, and character development been put into some of the side characters a little bit more, id have maybe been more effected by? but it just happened and i felt very little emotion and then it moves on. but it gave good reading vibes. it kept me engaged. I wanted to see what happened.
the ending was wrapped up a little too neatly and easily considering there was an actual war supposedly going on?
but overall I liked the whole trilogy.

nicely wrapped up the story

What a fabulous ending!
This book was a good twisty story, lots of skullduggery and battles.
So happy that Talan turned out to be a good guy and Mia got a happy ending! 😊

Great

This has been such a wonderful journey, and this book is the perfect ending. It felt a bit rushed at times, but this might be my selfish desire for the story to keep going.

The story has it all, plotting, intrigue, heartache, battles, dragons, romance, I’m rambling but this is the state I was left in after this book.

The narration is perfect in pacing and interpretation. Definately one of my favourite female narrators here.

Highly recommend reading/listening to the full series, it’s worth it.
