For me, as an only english speaking person, this book was an ideal intro to french. It is structured to keep things interesting and while it is quite long, still feels approachable. What I like most about this book is that it focuses on practical phrases and real life conversation. IT does provide vocabulary and grammar info, but the real life phrases are where its at. Each section builds on the last so it is important to stay engaged on the front end so you can keep building. There is a pronunciation guide that is super helpful, as I wasn't sure how to start with the new inflections and such. Thre are cultural insights throughout the book and they add a layer of info that helps you understand more than just the language itself. This audiobook is perfect for learning French without being overwhelmed. I did listen multiple times and feel sure I will have to listen more.
