I am totally in love with Griffen and Ruby. Their romance was well written and I was hooked from page one and could not put it down. There were some laugh out loud moments and wanted to listen to their story again once the audio had ended. A rare one for me. 10 out of 10 for the narrators Samantha Brentmoor and Aiden Snow they truly brought the characters to life and made my listening experience pure joy👏🏽👏🏽❤️

Lessons in Heartbreak balances humour and romance with deeper themes like medical trauma, anxiety, and family dynamics. Ruby’s journey is about breaking free from others' expectations and embracing her desires. Some conflicts felt rushed, but Griffin’s patience grounded the story, making it a meaningful and enjoyable read, 3.5 stars. Narrated in dual.

This is a football romance, but really it’s a librarian and a boy she grew up with, who she asks for lessons. Not spicy lessons, but how-to-attract-a-guy lessons. The tension is delicious, and the self-love boosting from Griffin is top-tier! The feelings grow strong and fast, and after their two weeks together, neither wants to admit to love.

Karla’s characters have depth and their own challenges to work through. It felt authentic, but not too angsty. It was just what I needed.

You really can’t go wrong with this narrator power couple. Samantha and Aiden absolutely smash this narration. From sarcasm and quippy lines to heartfelt emotions, they brought their A-game.

Highly recommend this series-starter. I can’t wait to listen to more from The Kings series.

At first I was haha, hehe-ing, giggling, kicking my feet over the god tier banter in this book, AND THEN it sucker punched me in the gut, lol. 5 stars ✨ in all seriousness, this book made me cry like a baby. The love between Ruby and Griffin is palpable, true soulmates, fated to be together in every universe. LIHB left such an impression on me that I know these characters and this story will stay with me for a longgg time.
