Summary

Jennifer has a great job and a go-getter fiancé. She's on track for success, until she witnesses a fatal hit-and-run. Mistaking Jennifer for someone else, the dying victim extracts an impossible promise. Jennifer's fiancé wants her to forget the whole incident, but when she closes her eyes, she can still see the bloody face of the woman who asked for her help. 

Olivia is in a rut. Burdened with caring for her brain-damaged brother and already feeling like a spinster at 27, she's desperate to escape. I have enjoyed previous Bryn Greenwood books, so was pleased to find this on audible. I really enjoyed this one too, and binge listened until the end.

Entertaining listen

The storylines were good and the characters diverse, all with their own stories to be woven into a quilt of life. Started with bang but a character to get used to. This one you had to give space and patience to allow her to follow her path, even knowing that it’d be a different one. The other main character was far more complex despite seeming to have the less eventful and successful life.
They both had to develop, cheered on only by the reader and the controversial characters, but life and fate didn’t disappoint. At some stage they had to collide and leave an impact on each other. It wasn’t an easy path and not short either, to final get them where they were destined to be. But in the end the patience pays.

I’ve read 2 books by this author now and really enjoyed both of them. Original plots, very human and touching but gritty and real.

I thoroughly enjoyed this book, the story was a lovely unfolding of the lives of tge two main female characters. i was so invested in how them and the people around them.

This is similar however different to the previous book I listened to by this author, less gritty but just as good and not as controversial 😉
