About this listen

At the very heart of things, at the core, we are who we are. We love who we love. And there is nothing in the world that will ever change that.

From the moment Lily Taylor met Morgan Wallace in their third-grade class, she knew they were destined to be best friends. Fourteen years later, she'd become the love of Lily's life.

When a tragic boating accident takes away years of Lily's memories, the two soulmates find themselves in uncharted territory. While Morgan is left holding onto the past they'd built together, Lily seeks desperately to fill the void in her life with answers.

Left to rebuild the foundations of their relationship, Morgan fights to stand by Lily against unimaginable odds. The two find themselves learning how to fall in love with one another all over again, and discover that sometimes, all you really need is a light to guide you amidst the storm.

A lesbian romance novel about the power of perseverance and hope, in the presence of unwavering love.

The relationship of the MC's get a huge wake up call in this story. Perhaps it was due for a dusting off, events push these two women to relive the past and rediscover themselves. To see the half empty glass become half full.
Wonderful story premise, touching moments with great narration by Lori Prince.

The book was a great listen and Lori Prince did a great job at narrating as always. The book kept going between past memories of Lily and Morgan, and the present struggles they were going through, which I think was nice to see how the friendship developed into a relationship via the past memories. With the present being difficult for Morgan as Lily only remembers them as being friends not being together as a couple because of the memory loss due to the accident.
