Fran finds her standing by the swings. A little girl, Esther, no older than seven years old, by herself in the dead of night, her pretty but old-fashioned yellow dress covered in grass stains and her hair dishevelled. She says she's waiting for Father, and that strikes Fran as particularly odd.

Amazing! I thoroughly recommend this book. The plot has so many twists and turns and the characters are believable. The narrator is easy to listen to.

A must read. Thought it was a little slow after the first few chapters but then it gets you captured by so many unanswered questions that keep you guessing. Loved it right till the end X Makes you realise what kind of things go on in this world!!
