Liv had her life all figured out until it was shattered by the loss of her husband. He left her a piece of him she hadn’t planned on. How can she pick up the pieces when she doesn’t know where to begin?

Liv: I never imagined my life would end up this way. I thought I had everything figured out until I got the call my husband was killed in a car accident and that my period was late.

Dead Husband: Check. Positive Pregnancy Test: Check. Screwed Beyond Belief?: Double Check.

Luke: I was never supposed to see her again. That was the deal. Leave her and my ex-best friend behind to finally mend my broken heart and move on with life. And it was going smoothly, too. That is, until said ex-best friend dies and his wife, Liv, lets a secret slip at his funeral that I can’t possibly ignore.

Out of my freaking mind?: Check. Extremely Angry Girlfriend who will kill me when she finds out I have a new roommate?: Check. About to get my heart ripped in two?: Double Check.

ahh I absolutely loved this story! I felt really bad for Liv having lost her husband and then she finds out shes pregnant, thank god she has her best friend there to help her out , she just didn't realise quite how much help she would get
this story had everything , was funny in places and sad too but i was hooked , needing to find out what was going to happen next, I hope the other books in the series come out soon on audio but if not then they're definitely a series I'm going to binge read on my kindle
the narrator couldn't have been more perfect and she did both female and male parts brilliantly .

a must listen.

This sweet second chance love story is told in a dual point of view which I loved. If you're looking for hot sex, this is not the book for you, but if you like a friends to lovers story where the guy finally gets the girl, then you'll love this one.

I really enjoyed Amanda Stribling narrating and bringing this story to life. She did a great job giving each character their own distinct voice. I loved her male voice for Luke.

Books that give so many feels are so satisfying and Kelsie Rae's Liv does just that. Told mostly from Liv's point of view, we get to take her journey from grief to a second chance at love. Liv's husband Adam dies unexpectedly. She is only 23, pregnant and scared. When Luke, Adam's best friend comes to her aid, things begin to look up. But will Luke's high school crush on Liv still come into play? Kelsie Rae's debut novel is low angst, heart breaking and heart warming. I enjoyed Liv's life changing experiences, learning to deal with pregnancy, deciding what is best for her and her baby and her interactions with Luke. I loved Luke's protectiveness and constant second guessing of what is right for him. It made the story more realistic for me. It's a slow burn, passionate and loving. I really enjoyed the story.

Amanda Stribling brings her talent to this story. She has an emotional voice, perfect for Liv. She gives her the warmth and depth to make her story ring true. She easily transitions to Luke with his voice strong and full of feeling. He is a compassionate man and you can feel it through her narration. Another great listen!

Liv’s story is a great love story. You may not think so at the beginning, as she has just lost her husband who she loved deeply, and she found out she was pregnant on the day of his funeral.

This is a story of love lost, found and lived by people who truly care for each other and know what it is to care for another person. There are many side stories here and they all make the story more compelling and a great listen.

This is my first Kelsie Rae book but not my last. I like her writing style.

Amanda Stribling does a wonderful job with the narration as well!!

Audiobook review. 3.5 Stars. The story was solid all around with a consistent flow, strong prose, and dynamic enough characters. The plot was ok. Nothing that was different or unexpected, which isn’t necessarily a bad thing. Especially when you’re in the mood for something that won’t throw a wrench into a plot for the sake of it.

Luke was a hero that wore his heart on his sleeve. He always thought of others before himself and was kind and protective. I would’ve liked to have seen a little more imperfection from him but he is definitely a dream man for our heroine. I’m trying to decide if Liv was blind or naive to Luke and his feelings. Either way, she got a tough deal and is trying to figure herself out. She was a bit dependent for my tastes but ok overall.

The narrator, Amanda Stribling, did a good job. Her transitions were smooth, her pace was steady, and her tone clear. She gave the characters life with her intensity and inflections.
