I have been eagerly awaiting Fiona Barton’s next book, but this was no where near as gripping as her first three.

The narrators did her no favours, monotone performances that made it easy to zone out.

The story jumps in time and between characters, but because there seems to be very light character development through the years, it’s hard to remember if we are in the past or not.

Too many quirky surface characters, whilst the main ones are dull.

I'm a big fan of Fiona Barton because I find her writing and characters completely authentic. this book didn't disappoint and, although different to her previous stories, was a tremendous listen.

The overall story was good but no where near as good the previous books by the author
The narrator who played Dee was so irritatingly slow!!!

The narration totally ruined this book! Where is Claire Corbett when you need her, the cleaner’s voice Dee should Not be allowed to read any audiobook it was absolutely dreadful, she was supposed to be young but sounded 80 & needed some redbull to speed her up! I think the story was ok but sadly the narration just took away everything good.
