91 year-old Alice Hoffman died alone in her top floor flat. Social services say she slipped through the cracks in a failing system. When I listened to my first Bryant and May book I thought it was a little slow but soon I came to love the characters and the stories. Tim Goodman's narration is perfect, he brings so much to each of the characters and to the plots. The stories are so much more than 'detective stories' and I have enjoyed learning so much about London and how it was in the past.

Thank you to both Christopher Fowler and Tim Goodman for this whole series!

Am new to Bryant and May, but after the initial couple of chapters, I got into the storyline and thoroughly loved it. Arthur Bryant is brilliant.
