Summary

An intruder shot dead to be seen rising from the grave, an escaped psychopath with a hidden murderous intent, and a forgotten mansion lying in the midst of an ancient Norfolk marsh.

The ancestral owner of Long Gore Hall arrives from overseas with an ambitious plan to renovate his crumbling family home. But when he shoots an intruder only for the body to vanish into thin air, DI Tanner is left searching for a body that doesn't seem to want to be found.

The last one in the series and it was as good as all the others. Hopefully there will be more later. Highly recommended. Narration excellent.

Have enjoyed the series and this was a good story but found the bad language completely unnecessary.

I wish the phrase "Tanner took a fortifying breath" was used less often 😅 I didn't think it was as good as previous books. I always enjoy the sense of humour Tanner and his colleagues share

Enjoyable except for one thing!

Wow what a story this was. Some things I guessed correctly but others I was way off. This was full of twists and turns right they through. Highly recommend this book
