This story both broke my heart and inspired me!
Although there are parts which are extremely hard reading with this story the author told Iris’ story really well and made me want to keep reading to find out if she got the happy ever after she deserved.
*I listened to the audiobook and the narrators showed so much emotion in their voice and were perfectly suited to their characters.

I can’t remember book ever consuming me this much! Such a rollercoaster of emotions.. so many tears, laughter.. and absolutely outstanding performance that brought this story to life! I think this is one of those books that stays in your mind forever. Thank you so much

Kennedy Ryan is such a gifted author. The topics in this story were handled so sensitively, I felt really invested in the characters. The narrators were the best I've heard. I was completely gripped.

Wow what a story,the author has the slow slop of controlling behaviour down to a tee,after being in a relationship with someone like that and trying to find yourself again, this story shows small things that creep up on you when don’t realise what’s happening,the story show a very strong lady,heartbreaking and very emotional story

Omg! The way C (for c@£t) is written in this book makes him my most hated villain ever and I’ve read over 700 novels since Covid! This was painful and heartbreaking to listen to, my god the way she stayed and just took it, sure she’s tiny and couldn’t/wouldn’t fight, that broke me. All the red flags were also just ignored… argh that was frustrating but so true in real life!

Brilliantly written, I really wanted him to suffer a lot more in the end but yeah I am 6ft tall and tend to get even and not angry in life…

The way A was so patient with IV was adorable and I wish them a happy full life together, he will help her heal and trust again! She should’ve gone with A right from the start and saved them all so much pain and suffering! Ugly cry! Love you Gus gus. Such a good book! Thank you x
