Even as a non-gamer I reaaly enjoyed this book. Only one small thing could be improved by having accompanying PDF for abbreviations (even though they are read out at the beginning).

I loved Looking for Group since I first read it, and since then have been hoping it would get the re-release treatment that Hall's Spire books are getting. So, when I found out that it was, I was ecstatic! Even more so that it was getting an audiobook. And wow, what an amazing audiobook this is! The quality and full cast were amazing. It made for a perfect way to reread this book. I'm already looking forward to giving it a re-listen!!

OMG!!! I loved this!!! Helps that I'm a gamer's partner, a gamer's mother and part time gamer too, so all the lingo made complete sense. Romance was sooo lovely and loved in game friends and community representation too. Also loved a full cast as made characters really pop and easy to follow in an online setting. 😍 Very modern and beautifully positioned while touching on a lot of the concerns as well as positives too.

Not my kind of book. I am sure that it could appeal some specific group of gamers and people that can memorize 120 acronyms and listen characters' names repeated over and over. The reading performance is great and it is the reason why I could listen for 1 hour.

This book made me smile, laugh and occasionally discover some moisture leaking from my eyes. Maybe I am biased due to having met my spouse in a video game. But the story is the sweetest. The gaming, the friendships, even dealing with societal judgement on what is the "right" kind of things to like and spend time doing. It all hit the spot, leading me to believe Alexis Hall really writes what they know. (Also Burnsyourface is a real player. We have all met them.)

The performance is top notch. With the right amount of sweet and melancholy to make this one of the best audio books I have ever listened to.
