Summary
It’s a busy time of the year for Lord James Harrington and his wife, Beth - there’s the Michaelmas Fair in the village to enjoy. But matters take a sinister turn when the body of the founder of the Jolly Madrigals singing group is discovered after the Fair. The characters are poorly crafted and the whole scenario is a plastic facsimile of rural England written by an author who has no knowledge of the country.
The narrator is wooden although he may be doing the best with the material provided to him.
In the past we used to be able to return audible books, but this seems to be no longer possible. I would return this one if I could and will make sure I never buy another one written by this author.
