About this listen

The boundaries between gods and mortals blur in a futuristic world where ancient Hindu deities reign supreme, not by divine right, but through advanced technology and manipulation of human consciousness. Enter the protagonist, Sam, who dares to challenge these self-proclaimed gods by resurrecting the forgotten concept of Buddhism, symbolizing a cosmic rebellion against tyranny and the timeless struggle for spiritual and intellectual freedom. As Sam channels the essence of the Enlightened One, he ignites a revolution that promises not only to destabilize the pantheon but also to redefine what it means to be human. Dive into this richly woven tapestry of myth, philosophy, and science fiction, where the fate of humanity teeters on the edge of an epic confrontation between ancient beliefs and the relentless quest for liberation.

This is a story I read years ago and love. I thought I might enjoy listening to it. Infortunately, I am distracted by the grating annoying vocals and find it difficult to focus on the story.

Annoying voice of narrator or a brilliant story

Fantastic to see Lord of Light finally get the audiobook treatment. Hands down my all time favourite. If you like alluring writing and your sci-fi mixed with mysticism, this book is for you. Can't praise this highly enough!!

It's high time...

Great performance, nothing to dislike at all. The story harks back to the golden age of SF, though some suspension of disbelief required.. Not really 'hard' SF.

Excellent performance of a classic
