Long and complicated story which still holds the attention. I have read 5 of Christian's books and they are all very different. He is not a writer who follows any kind of formula, so you never know what you are going to get, but you do know that it will be worth reading/listening to.
I have this book. After 3 years of Spanish study I wasn't ready for it, after 4 years I was.
Because I know the story I can now listen and follow the audible version without trouble and it is another source of language practice and enjoyment.
Obviously, likes and dislikes are very individual, but for me, the narrator has a rather strident voice which I didn't find easy to listen to.
