Summary

Jess Miller is a focused, driven high school senior whose only goal is to get into the strict Christian college that her late mother attended. But when another student gets picked for early admission instead of her, she can see her dream slipping away.

With only two months left until winter break, Jess gets one final chance to prove herself to the board of admissions by doing a volunteer project at the local rehab center. Honestly, just read/listen to it! You can’t go wrong with anything written by Nicole Maser or anything narrated by Lori Prince. You’re in safe hands (although they may wreck you emotionally, they’ll always put you back together again by the end) ❤️

Just like Nicole’s other book, Turning Red (another amazing story and one of my favourite new perspectives on the classic Zombie Apocalypse), this book had me enraptured the whole time. The drama, emotions and excitement all felt so so real when listening to Lori’s performance as she puts so much expression into every one of her lines, really allowing you to feel the emotions as the characters go through their experiences.

This story will always hold a special place in my heart as it’s what helped me face my own fears and finally come out to my own family. So thank you Nicole and Lori, and anyone else involved in this book, for giving me an experience that has changed my life forever.

Sam and Jess's journey is an emotional roller coaster! This is my first book by the author and I loved it. Can't wait to read the next one! Lori Prince does it again with her amazing acting skills and truly brings the story to life. Highly recommend!❤️
