About this listen

Luca King.
The notorious playboy.
A master of one night stands.
My constant shadow.

Wherever I went, he was always there. Until he wasn’t. One wild night at a masquerade party was all it took. I got pregnant, broke my engagement, and failed my family.

The worst part? I had no idea who the father of my baby was. I had only one clue—a Prince Albert piercing. Not exactly a smoking gun.

My parents disowned me after I refused to marry the prospects they presented. It wasn’t my fault I became gun shy. The last four men I met ended up dead. It was safer to have this baby on my own.

Our world was a dangerous one. And without the protection of my family, I was running out of time.

So it left me with no choice but to disappear, leaving no trace of where I went.

That was until Luca King found me at my lowest.

Maybe I should have tried harder to stay hidden, because he would surely be my destruction.

Luca & Margaret’s story was worth the wait. I love how hard Luca fell, & how hard he has to fight for Margaret, for her love, her forgiveness.

Luca and Margaret. I love that these guys set their eyes on a girl and wait for the right time to pursue them, although Luca has his own ways. Margaret is headstrong and knows what she wants. Getting away from one brother and into the arms of the other makes for her life a living hell until it’s not. She isn’t a wilting flower, although a bad waitress lol, I loved her strength. Another hit for this series. And the narration definitely makes it even better.

I was absolutely blown away by this story! The unique twist on the secret baby trope had me completely hooked. The complicated relationship between Margaret and Luca kept me on the edge of my seat. Their chemistry was unbelievably intense, and their hidden secrets added a thrilling layer to the story. Just like the rest of the Belles and Mobsters series, this book did not disappoint. I'm eagerly anticipating what the author has in store for us next!

Luca was in love with Margaret Callaghan from the minute he saved her all those years ago now he just had to make her fall for him. What he didn’t expect after the one night with her was to find out she was carrying his child then to have her vanish on him.

I knew Luca and Margaret's story was going to be good, but I did not expect half of what happened during this story!

I loved the banter and the draw between these two, also loved watching them find their connection.

The fact that Luca was so adamant about what he wanted and there was no changing his mind was exactly what I love about the heroes in my stories. I love that he wanted Margaret and there was nothing anyone could do to change his mind or hold him back from getting her.

The drama that unfolded during this story was something that kept me intrigued throughout the whole book. I loved seeing the others from the previous stories as well, the way these characters find themselves in trouble constantly is spectacularly entertaining. I loved all of it.

Aubrey Vincent and Duncan Cole were both new to me narrators and they were great! I loved the velvety smooth quality of Duncan's voice, and Aubrey brought the emotions perfectly! It was a beautiful experience.

So good!!
