Die Handlung spielt im Jahr 1949, das Weihnachtsgeld ließ auf sich warten. Bloß drei Schilling blieben für den Baum und mit Glück hätten wir auch dafür einen bekommen, doch Vater hoffte jeden Tag auf das Geld und schließlich standen wir am 24. Dezember ohne Tanne da.
