I thoroughly enjoyed this story with a fabulous and unexpected conclusion.
After scrolling past some of the sex scenes [at my age I had heard it all before LOL] I was thoroughly entertained by the many twists and turns in this romantic novel. Great narration by Mr Thorne. Looking forward to the next in the series.
Oh, I wished there was an epilogue.
Maybe it is just me: but when there isn't one, it can feel like such an abrupt ending.
I compare it to a fine dinner party when after finishing dessert... suddenly...without further ado, all guests are quickly ushered out of the dining room.
This just shows I enjoyed the story so much that I did not want it to end.

I love a good murder mystery plot and I love historical romances - this series is just fab as you get both in the one book. Just when you thought it couldn’t get any better, one of my favourite narrators (under a different name) just beings it all together to be brilliant!! - buy now and do not even hesitate!! Best credits ever!

Read the book years ago and forgotten how much I enjoyed the story,With all murders mystery and romance what's not to love.I found the Performance was easy on the ears to didn't grate on me like the Last one.
Would like to listen or read all in this series but hard to find.
