Life doesn’t prepare you for this type of shit. The mother of my children is dead and now I’m on my way back to Tallahassee. I told my sons what happened, but my daughter’s another story. She’s so young, so innocent, and I don’t want to rip her heart open, but I can't lie to her about this shit.

Thankfully, one of my ex's neighbors has been lending a helping hand for a while. While she's great to look at, it's another thing when she opens her mouth. Every time she does I want to put duct tape over it.

This is the first book/prequel for the Raiders of the Valhalla series. Fenrir (Soren) has to deal with a situation which includes his ex’s neighbour, Charm. This was a quick listen but you get all the elements you expect in an MC book—danger, tragedy, violence, and my favourite, a prank that solidifies being part of the family. Seriously lol moments with my head phones on! Narrated by Jason Fella, who was great doing Soren’s parts but didn’t quite fit so well with Charm’s dialogue—sometimes I lost track of whose chapter it was and it took me out of the story as I tried to figure it out.

His only problem he never counted on an opinionated woman who makes his daughter laugh and is starting to grow on him.

Brilliant narration from Jason Fella,

Soren first meets Charm after the death of his ex-wife. She is the neighbour of his ex. Let’s say the start of the relationship is messy and not easy. As Charm is helping to look after his children. Let’s say the chemistry is instant. But with Soren needing answers on how his ex died and why , he calls in the MC and Charm is my his side.
This book has drama, danger, steam and perfect characters. Ohh this book does ends on a cliffhanger.

This is so short but so good. Very Hot. Obviously is book 1 so hopefully we’ll hear more from the characters in this book. The narration was great, I’d have preferred a more obvious female voice as was a little confusing in parts. Anyhow, loved it. Want more!
