This story had so much potential but every time a scene built the MFC went into an emotional inner monologue and killed the atmosphere. It read like a pre-teen self help book about trust, boundaries and self soothing! Kept thinking ‘just get on with it!’ By chapter 26 we had had all the feelings and room decor but the story just died off. I gave up - shame.
