I like Keris way of making a story mystical. This is actually more of a (too much spice?) murder mystery than a fantasy novel. Would have wanted a trigger warning regarding child abuse. But the story has a deeper dept and I would recommend it for a easy read when you want a one book story.

Loved the characters, almost a beauty & the beast vibe, without simplifying the outstanding plot & story arc.

Love all of the ups and downs, the twists and turns. The narrators make a superb job and the book had me gasping, laughing, gushing and crying, sometimes all of these withing the same chapter. Loved the suspense and all of the mystery that keeps you turning the pages. The romance is good, but the torment and the story is really what makes this a 5/5 stars

I could guess most of the twists, but overall a good story. It's not as good as Nocticadia which was my first book of Keri Lakes. I liked Lucians character, but there was a too quick obsession, not enough angst and push and pull for me. Still really enjoyed it and as with Nocticadia, finished it in just a few days :)
