A lot of resources out there when it comes to raise a chat with ADHD is around 'taming' them, and somehow,I feel slightly uncomfortable about that.I've picked this audiobook because the emphasis is on parenting, aka what I can control. To me, fostering a positive relationship with my child is much more important than them 'sitting still' or 'listening'. Even if the system is a bit different in the UK, I found the chapter on advocating for my child and navigating school particularly interesting.

My 7-year-old was just diagnosed with ADHD, and I have no idea how to be the best mom I can be for him. I found this audiobook that I can listen to in my car, and it has been instrumental in my understanding of what to expect. I found the book to be very well written and super easy to follow. The narrator makes a difficult subject easy to understand. I have noted several strategies I plan to employ when needed. I am thankful for this one and will look to it often when I need more guidance.
