I LOVE this trilogy so far. I listened to the first book, Thunderbird Rising, and was thrilled to see the second available. This series is amazing and just as good if not better than watching a movie. Although, it's fully worthy of that honor! I really enjoy some of the same characters and more developments. That said, you could start with this book and go out of order if that makes sense for you. This is full of action, excitement, elements of romance, high stakes. It keeps you wanting to know what's next! I highly recommend and am looking forward to more with Maxx King soon.

This audio was so well done that I couldn't turn it off. It kept me on the edge of my seat as the character was well defined with his background and experiences while also focusing on his fear and struggles as he tries to save the world.

What a listen. I was on the edge of my seat the whole time. The narrator did an amazing job, really bringing Maxx's struggles to life. You can just feel his exhaustion and pain. The whole sound quality was top-notch, too. It was like I was right there with him, trying to stop the world from falling apart. It's a gripping story, and I honestly couldn't stop listening. Really, really good stuff.

Loved the narration from Scott Fleming, who brings the drama and action to your ears.

Maxx King is a veteran he had been an Arm Ranger. Since leaving the service he is an cybercrime investigator. Maxx finds himself in a game of survival, as the world is on the point of war. With a ex-DARPA scientist causing global instability, tensions are high.
