I am amazed to read that another reviewer stopped listening to this book because of the narration. It is what makes this book come alive - the range of accents and voices used make this more like listening to a play than a book and I fell in love with the characters because of it. In fact the book and narration are so good that I've added to my wishlist 'The Good the Bad and the Dumped' by the same two people.

This is a lovely story and if you love baking, you'll find it even more appealing!

well written characters, issy being a favourite as well a lewis pearl's little boy.
sprinkled with recipes, the character's hopes and fears, and Penelope Rawlins performance which brought all the characters to life this is a good book to listen to between the heavier stuff (crime etc.,).
looking forward to Christmas at the cupcake café.
