Summary

From the beloved creator of Lonely Hearts Radio and Wild Hearts comes an enchanting new story about love's ability to heal the deepest family divides.
In the picturesque Cornish seaside town of St. Bodwell, the Daveys and the Chenoweths have been entrenched in a bitter feud for centuries. But when local historian Sam Chenoweth begins curating an exhibition on the ill-fated 19th century romance between his ancestor Ada Chenoweth and John Davey, he finds an unexpected ally in Abbie Davey.
As they work together uncovering Ada and John's tragic love story, a surprising connection blossoms between Sam and Abbie. Despite dark family secrets and lies, their growing intimacy has the power to not only bring the exhibition to vivid life, but to finally shatter the cycle of hatred between their families and lay some restless old ghosts to rest at last.
Weaving together a irresistible historical love story and a modern romance, Mending Hearts is an uplifting reminder that even the most tattered bonds can be repaired, one stitch at a time.

Quick and enjoyable romance with some lovely touches of historical life in Cornwall. Cannot give the performance a higher score: some pretty “key”, if you’ll forgive me, mispronouncing of Quay as ‘kway’ and sow (planting) as sow (the cow).

Light and easy listen

Got bored halfway through but did finish the book to an ending expected rated 6 out of 10

Abit long winded

Obviously Cornwall, because you can't go wrong. A story of love, betrayal and truths being told. Although quite Australian sounding Cornish folk.
