I love how the book is presented in a linear structure that builds on itself, such as the education on cardiovascular training right through to strength, flexibility, agility, and recovery. I particularly enjoyed the chapter on strength training, as this is my own specialty, and I was impressed by the level of detail that was included, such as using periodization for athletes of different sports categories to monitor their training efforts for specific goals and to avoid overtraining.
I would also like to add that the mini-chapter on nutrition was very informative and offers sound and practical advice for fueling young athletes for the sports they perform. Overall, very well-written and researched book by an experienced author!
