Summary

What if everything you believe… is wrong?

Dark speculative fiction. Artificial intelligence. Time travel. Redemption.

Midnight Boundaries is a gripping anthology of three haunting tales that twist reality, challenge belief, and linger long after the final word.

Echoes of Destiny

A mysterious stranger appears at the crucifixion of Jesus of Nazareth, setting off a covert chain of events hidden from history itself. As prophecy, secrecy, and sacrifice collide, the truth behind one of humanity's most sacred moments begins to unravel.

Life

Ninety-six-year-old Adam Cabrera lies at the end of his journey, surrounded by loved ones. As memories of rebellion, regret, love, and redemption resurface, he discovers that in life, nothing is what it seems.

Virtual Mate

Connor Foreman signs up to beta test a revolutionary AI companion designed to understand him completely. At first, it feels perfect. But when devotion turns to control, he realizes some connections go deeper than they should and he's left scrambling for a way out.

Blending philosophical science fiction, supernatural suspense, and emotional depth, Midnight Boundaries explores obsession, mortality, belief, and the fragile line between what is real… and what only seems to be.

Not every truth is meant to be discovered.

I really enjoyed Virtual Mate, the main character had a good voice and was relatable. Although a lot of the “tech” in this story felt out of the setting. I found myself stopping and querying things that made it a bit too fantastical.
The middle story had a predictable ending but was brief and didn’t overstay its welcome.
The first story, about the hidden story from the bible age was the weakest, and it was right at the start. I found this one a slog and although the ending was a bit intriguing, the characters felt like they didn’t belong and religion is a hard thing to use well.
Overall I did enjoy this collection and am intrigued to see what the author does next.

Good stories, bad order.
