This is the first book that really made me think about minimalism as a whole. Yes it defines it, but it also gives journaling topics that are specific to a personal definition of minimalism. it is not another Marie Kondo, "clear out your physical clutter" book. It is a life centering journey. Allyson Hodge provides a process to look at all areas of life and how values set priorities. It combined all these different self help trends - goal-setting, happiness, journaling, decluttering, habit forming, mindfulness, even financial planning and puts it all in perspective to help give individual direction to the journey.

I enjoyed the message and the overall authenticity of the author and her willingness to pay her experience forward. This book is a great opportunity to contemplate what is important in life and re-evaluate priorities. I would highly recommend it.

This book helped me through a stressful time in my life and to look at my problems from another point. It’s so real and simple. Especially I love spiritual chapters. Other ones about cleaning and organising living environment weren't something new for me as I am an organised person. But for sure it has sense. Absolutely agree with an idea from Allyson’s book that the only thing you can get from constant rush is stress. And more stress. Also, it's the only thing you will lose if you slow down. This is what I understood when I changed priorities in my life. And I am so happy now.

I highly recommend this intelligent, well-written and narrated book. It will provide you with all sorts of new information that you can put into effect immediately. The main idea of the spiritual part of this book is - "Now" is the only time you can do anything. Absolutely love it!
