I didn’t know what to expect with this book, I had heard bits about Tony Pike so thought I would give it a go. I made the right choice, I think it’s the fastest I have ever listened to a book. Very open and honest. I couldn’t stop listening to it, what a life he had.

Had never heard of Tony Pike until he died, but what I discovered thereafter fascinated me, so I bought the audiobook. An interesting story about a rollercoaster of a life, with much debauchery and scandal along the way. I really wish I'd stayed at Pikes in the 80s!

Loved this. I was in pikes recently and fell in love with it so when I found about a book telling the story of it I had to get it. Such an interesting and fulfilling life Mr Pike lead. A playboy that went through thousands of women and a man that wasn’t afraid to turn his hand to anything to get by and certainly wasn’t work shy. He traveled the world and his non judgmental personality made him a people person with whom ever he met found themselves drawn to him. Hence the success of pikes. I loved it in the quirky little place walking past the Tropicana pool to get a drink at the bar then dancing in Freddie’s bath! For a short moment you could imagine you was transported back to early days and I hope it never changes. Great read/listen

Great insight into an Ibezan legend, but takes a long time to get to the Ibiza part. Some great name dropping though.
