About this listen

A race to save a woman at the museum falls short, leading Sid into a sorted whodunit with more questions than answers. Meanwhile, Kiera does some sleuthing of her own, as she solves the puzzle of why houses are being broken into but not robbed.

With a growing list of suspects in one mystery and unending questions in the other, Kiera and Sid help each other to unexpected conclusions.

Emotional tension between Kiera and Ray comes to the forefront as the two Corn and Daisy get involved. Will their good intentions come to something good, or something else?

Sid and Kiera have front row seats for the start of another intriguing mystery. With two cases that don't seem connected to investigate and kira's personal life getting more complicated. I love this series and the characters in it and can't wait for the next book. The narration as always is excellent.

Great cozy mystery

I enjoyed this book. Somehow this author always manages to come up with new and inventive plot ideas to keep the series fresh and entertaining. Each book is a standalone but I think you get a better understanding of the characters and there motives if read in order, besides it's a fun series. In this book we have the the two main characters, Sid and Kiera investigating there own cases but with everything not quite what as it seems, it soon takes on a new twist and I loved every moment. The story was well worked and I could see who the killer and the motive behind it, as it unfolded. I like the cast of characters and spending time with them as they put there own special skills to work solving cases and that's why I can't wait for the next book.

A scream brings Sid and Kiera running, only to find a woman locked inside an old bank vault. With no way to open it until the time release they can't do much to help but comfort the husband. When the door opens, they discover it's a lot more complicated than her just getting trapped inside, during a robbery gone wrong at the museum. Sid as an FBI analyst, with a good history of solving crimes and being on the scene, she is promoted and asked to investigate the murder. Can she find the killer? At the same time witness protectee Kiera is asked to look into some strange break ins. People's houses are being broken into but with nothing being taken the police write it off as just elderly forgetfulness. After talking to residents Kiera begins to suspect that there is something more going on. Can both cases get solved?
I like the narrator. It is unusual for a male narrator to read the story, when the main characters are both females but somehow he makes it work and I can't imagine anybody else replacing him and doing such a good job.
I was given this free review copy audio book at my request and have voluntarily left this review.
