About this listen
Welcome to Silver Pines—where the coffee’s strong, the locals are quirky, and even the furniture has secrets.
After years away, Clare Garner is back in her hometown, happily restoring antique pieces and running her family’s furniture gallery. With her high school sweetheart, Jackson Barrett, by her side and a big corporate project on the horizon, life is finally falling into place.
That is, until Blake Catalano—her swoon-worthy college ex—waltzes back into town with a smile and something he’s definitely not telling her.
Things take a sharp turn when a body turns up, and suddenly both Blake and Jackson are suspects in the murder. With tensions rising and the rumor mill in overdrive, Clare must untangle the mystery—before someone else takes a permanent break from small-town charm.
Perfect for fans of slow-burn romance, small-town drama, and mysteries wrapped in charm, Murder at Maisie’s is the cozy escape you’ve been craving.

Duet Narration
Narration - I love Sebastian York, he is one of my favourite male narrators and he done the parts of Jackson and Blake so well and other side characters. Eleanor was a new to me narrator and I thought she suited the part of Claire to a tee. I really enjoyed the narration of this book.
Set in a small town in North Carolina where everybody knows everybody and we are introduced to Claire, our main character who happens to find herself in the middle of a m*rder investigation. Although the clues made it pretty easy to guess who the k!ller was, I still enjoyed the mystery of it and having all these little theories of who it was etc. We do also have somewhat of a love triangle between Claire, Blake and Jackson and I do love me a good love triangle. Although the romance was secondary in my opinion to this book, I was still rooting for one man over the other and was happy in the end but also glad the other one still stayed friendly with them etc. This is a clean romance and was actually really refreshing for me to not have any spice in the book and just focus the mystery of the m*rder and all that was going on in the town.
I am intrigued to continue on with this series to see what other mysteries happen in the series.
Thank you to Bluenose Audio and Lyla Blue.
