This December in Kilbane, if you’re planning to warm up with a cuppa tea at Naomi’s Bistro, you may have a bit of a wait - the entire O’Sullivan brood has gone off to West Cork to spend the holidays with brother James’s fiancée Elise’s family, including her grandfather, the famous orchestral conductor Enda Elliot. I love these books, just lighthearted fun with a lot of family love (including one good looking DS). The banter is hilarious and I love that Siobhan and McDarra are not soppy but you can tell they love the bones of each other, the way he calls her "boss" is like someone else's "darling". I'm not overly keen on Elise and James' relationship, so far she's muscled her way into the bistro, and asked him to lie to his sister and she's a whiner! But to each their own. Love that its always the same narrator. Can't wait to read the next book.

Another fantastic story from Carlene O'Connor, she is my new favourite author. Caroline Lennon is amazing as the narrator she brings the characters to life and I can picture them in my head. I have binged these books. This one is wonderful I really like the story, I would of liked a bit more in the end, with the family, but that's just a small complaint. The family are so likable and fun I could listen to their banter for ages. The story was interesting and fun, I was wrong with who I thought the murderer was.

I've been listening to many in this series and the characters populate my 'home from home'. I think many of our souls have been a tad ravaged by world events of recent years .The presiding , down to earth morality and the light banter in this Irish murder tale is a balm to the soul .
