I have listened to a number of books by Dianne Harman but this is the first book in the Midwest Cozy Mystery Series that I have tried and what a introduction it is. I enjoyed it. It is just like her other series, a fun cosy mystery that starts with the murder and then gives the motives for each suspect. With an interesting mystery, lots of suspects and of course a loveable dog. This book is set in the wine country of Italy adding a little bit of scenery to the adventure and a language barrier. The only thing that is different is that the last few minutes of the audio isn't taken up by recipes of food mentioned in the book.
Kat and her husband Blaine travel to Italy for a friends wedding but the day before the big day the best man is found dead. While consoling the widow Kat agreed to help find the killer. The dead man was a rich wine maker and as she and Deborah investigates they soon learn that not everybody loved him.
I liked the narrator but a few of her Italian accents for the men just made me laugh, to high pitched or gruff but squeaky.
I was given this free review copy audiobook at my request and have voluntarily left this review.
