Anouk Sinne, the most brilliant perfumier of her age, and famous for her spoiled bald cat, has been receiving blackmail demands, and she asks Posie to investigate. But is blackmail just the tip of the iceberg?

A ‘reveal’ party for the Anouk’s highly-anticipated new fragrance is just about to take place, and Posie, together with her best friend Dolly, Countess Cardigeon, finds herself rubbing shoulders with some very famous people in the legendarily-secret flower garden, including Gordy Lorkinsson, the celebrity Icelandic gardener, and the French Duchesse, Maria de Poilac, together with her gorgeous son, Anatole.

But after the ‘reveal’ of the strangest perfume Posie has ever experienced, hosted by a mysterious Indian Princess, Priyanka of Gwilim, things take a chilling turn for the worse… Arguments break out between Hubert Pring, Anouk’s long-time sponsor, and Archie Van Dusen, the American billionaire shop-owner, regarding who the new perfume really belongs to. But where is Anouk to settle the point?
