About this listen

An early collection of short stories by England's greatest humorist, P. G. Wodehouse, My Man Jeeves features four tales of Bertie Wooster and his wily manservant Jeeves and four stories of an early Wooster prototype: self-described "chump" Reggie Pepper.

Eight of the most enjoyable and popular short stories of the early 20th century, My Man Jeeves is a must-have for any Wodehouse fan.

This collection of short stories from the point of view of an English aristocrat and his man is hilarious. I found myself laughing out loud several times. If you would like to listen to something amusing and light hearted then this is perfect. The narrator does the voices perfectly and adds to the amusement as comedy is all in the delivery. The stories concern a young Englishman getting into scrapes and awkward situations and his man Jeeves having sometimes not so good ideas to help him get out of them. The stories are original and unpredictable with fabulously funny twists! I highly recommend this one! Cheered me up no end!

Hilariously funny!

I saw a volume of Jeeves and Wooster books narrated by Stephen Fry and was tempted to buy it. However, this particular book was not part of that volume so I bought this version as it is the first book in the series.

I was disappointed in both the narrator, it was difficult to distinguish the characters, and the stories, each story was very similar and equally predictable.

Disappointing
