About this listen

Are you an amateur musician, singer, or songwriter trying to make a living out of your hobby? Or perhaps you’re already a seasoned professional who knows his/her way around but still cannot master the business side of music making? Regardless of your act, there are certain things you must know that are truly critical for your success and without them you just won't build anything sustainable.

Often times, music business guides concentrate too much on the unnecessary technical details of the music business (does anyone really need to read about a typical tour rider?). Or really minor aspects of music production (does anyone really care how much you should EQ the highs of your guitar track?). However, rarely do these books try to create a complete system of knowledge and show you what and how to prioritize when building your business.

My Music - My Business was designed differently. It is an indispensable book for those, who are thinking of finally taking their music business seriously. It’s meant to be the foundation of your future business, and will help you finally advance your career as a musician.

Here is what you’re going to learn inside:

  • The exact list of crucial things to focus and develop in yourself and your craft to have a long-lasting music career
  • Who provides the highest value in your music business team and who you should ignore at all costs
  • The foundational industry guide - from key personas in your career, to the legal questions, your royalties, and record deals
  • The right approach to building your loyal following
  • The sources of income - what, how and where to get paid for your music
  • And so much more!

If you ever wondered where should you begin and what you should focus on to start making money from your music, then do not wait any longer. Buy My Music - My Business today!

In my opinion, this is well worth the time to read for all songwriters, from the most accomplished to newbies. While the tone sometimes veers from strictly informational into almost-adulation for Music Business, this book still makes many valid points about how the music biz has changed with current technological advances.
