This reading (at 80% speed) is a new way into the message that was Jesus 's life. It evokes a new way of living that is truly beyond mere religiosity and conventional ideas about how men and women should live their lives. The Good News, as Jesus put it, is that this is available to us at each moment of existence. It is something tremendous, mysterious and yet intimate that waits at the core of each one of us. The reading by David Suchet has a quality of perfection about it which matches and honours the content in a remarkable way.
