good story once it gets going. Emma is great at narrating and she really builds emotion into the delivery.

The book kept flowing with a good balance of action and dialogue. Really liked the Nurgle knights and seeing a different kind of chaos force in the mortal realms. My only complaint would be id like too have had some more juicy lore to do with Nagash and the forces of death. All in all really good Age of sigmar book

Roles for the female narrator made me cringe a little. It was almost comedic

really good story about the bgod of the dead, and those who serve him, willing or not. Also, using some chill nurglite knights as the main antagonists made both side of the story interesting. Whilst you might not be rooting for chaos, (and aren't intended too), their viewpoint is via the sort of madman who you could get on with, if you could get over the smell. Also, for those who know Nagash from the old world, neither being mad nor dead seem to have made him less... Nagashy, and he concludes the story with a move that's definitely reminiscent of Nagash the necromancer, whilst being totally appropriate for Nagash the god. Other points: Solid narration, with distinctive voices for characters and the narrator, making both pleasurable and easy to listen to. Pretty good sense of it being grounded in a specific area, and its call outs to wider AoS law certainly don't hit you in the face with Ghal Maraz (though it does help to know what a sylvaneth physically is beforehand, but certainly won't break the story if you don't know anything but 'tree people')

fantastic book, normally the quality of books set in the Warhammer world's can feel a bit predictable and dull but this was genuinely a very interesting book with great narration and lots of twists to keep you interested. The book being either from the perspective of nurgle or nagash's followers gave the whole thing a nice feel without overly perscriptive good and bad guys. I will be looking out for more of Josh's work in the future.

A must listen for AOS and fantasy fans alike!
