The Serpent's Coil LegacyBOOK 5: Natchez Trace Vendetta

Ethan Kane’s quest for the Solakari legacy leads him onto the perilous Natchez Trace in 1825. He hunts the outlaw Blackjack Stark, who unknowingly holds an ancient Bible containing a coded Solakari vellum. After a deadly confrontation where new ally Sally McGill avenges her family on Stark, Ethan recovers the Bible. Aided by the forgotten scholar Alaric Thorne, he deciphers the vellum, revealing a path to a lost Spanish presidio in Tejas.

At the desolate presidio ruins, guided by the ancient Padre Ignacio Vargas, Ethan unearths the "Sunstone Map" – a Solakari pictographic tablet. This new clue directs him into the heart of Comanchería, to the sacred Sky Altar. With the wary trapper Coyote Jack Tobin as a guide, Ethan, Captain Rourke, and Anawa gain a tense audience with the formidable Comanche chief Ten Bears.

Granted permission to ascend the Sky Altar, Ethan activates an ancient Solakari celestial device. A luminous map of light reveals their next destination: "Las Cuevas Susurrantes" – the Whispering Caves – deep in the treacherous Chihuahuan desert, linked to a Solakari glyph for "Salt." After trading for supplies with Ten Bears and parting with Tobin and Sally McGill at the Pecos River, Ethan and his core party face their most daunting journey yet. The Serpent’s Coil pulls them towards new dangers and the promise of another ancient secret.
